The founder, Steve Wilk, was watching the classic comedy “Blues Brothers”, starring Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. There is a scene where they are driving their huge 1974 Dodge Monaco through a shopping mall destroying the glass walls, dishes, crystal and everything in sight. He thought how lucky actors are to act out what many people would love to do. While also combining the benefits he received while working on anger issues in his youth by striking a cushion with a foam bat. That’s when he came up with this concept as a compromise. So while you can't drive your car through the mall (even though there's times we want to!), you CAN come see us and destroy things in a safe, friendly, fun, climate controlled environment!
Who is this for?
We have customers from all walks of life; men, women and children 8 years old and up! Some people come for recreational destruction and others for therapeutic destruction! Some customers come to address some significant life disruption such as sickness, divorce, death, and family dysfunction. Many of them come to relieve job stress! Surprisingly, over 65% of our customers are women! It is believed that many women traditionally haven’t had the opportunities or permission to release their frustrations like men often do. One female customer was quoted as saying, “I come a couple times a month and afterwards I feel nothing but exhausted with a big smile on my face. This is great therapy for me.” Our clients come by themselves, surprise friends, bring loved ones for date night, birthdays, anniversaries, gender reveals, team building events, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and even bridal showers right here It’s THERAPEUTIC! It’s GUILT FREE! And the best part is, you don’t have to CLEAN UP! So to answer "Who is this for?". It's for YOU.

What is a Safe Place?
Safe Place is a national youth outreach and prevention program for young people under the age of 18 (up to 21 years of age in some communities) in need of immediate help and safety. As a collaborative community prevention initiative, Safe Place designates businesses and organizations as Safe Place locations, making help readily available to youth in communities across the country. Safe Place locations include: libraries, YMCAs, fire stations, public buses, various businesses, and social service facilities.
Designated Safe Place locations display the Safe Place sign, the universal symbol of youth safety.
